Founded in 1963, the Fredericksburg Area Association of REALTORS® is the trade association for more than 1600 REALTORS® and 144 affiliate members serving the City of Fredericksburg and the counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, and Caroline.  The Fredericksburg Region is expected to grow 2.8% by 2010 compared to the State at 1.1% and Northern Virginia at 2.0%; in 2005 the population of the region was estimated at 296,900 versus 241,044 in 2000 (Fredericksburg Regional Alliance)  Within our high growth region, FAAR strongly supports the availability of affordable housing for all segments of the market and government policies designed to enhance home ownership opportunities.
