Small business is key to the nation's economic health. Over half of the 46 million Americans lacking health insurance work in these same small businesses or are depend upon some who does. In our own industry, over 28% of real estate sales practitioners have no health insurance. It's time for the Senate to address the health insurance needs of the self-employed and small firm workers and pass small business health plan legislation.
We ask you to work with Senators Mike Enzi and Ben Nelson to find common ground on this important legislation and get it passed this year. We need your help to find a solution upon which we all can agree now, not next year. The alternative of doing nothing yet again is simply unacceptable.
